Mr. David Koetser
The Betty and David M. Koetser Foundation- In 1986 David M. Koetser and his wife Betty generously set up a foundation through which they donated some 70 Italian, Dutch and Flemish Old Master paintings to the Kunsthaus in Zurich- where they are now permanently on view. The collection includes rare paintings by Memling, Isenbrandt, Brueghel the Elder, Willem van de Velde the Younger and Bellotto.
David H. Koetser is one of the 8 Founder Members of the Tefaf in Maastricht. This now renowned art fair celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Over the years it has grown into a spectacular Artfair with 260 leading art and antiques dealers from 18 countries exhibiting.
The Koetser Gallery has a long standing reputation within the Old Master Trade. Not only do we cultivate relations with our private clients, at times helping them build up their collections- we also stimulate their art historical interest and knowledge by organizing lectures in the Zurich Gallery premises by some of the world’s leading art historians, curators and museum directors. Just recently in 2011 clients were invited to lectures by:
-Pedro de Lago- who spoke about Frans Post and wrote the Catalogue Raisonne on the artist.
-Dr. Fred Meijer of the RKD in the Hague lectured on his field of expertise- still-lifes painting.
In the past lectures have been given by:
